ROC (Ryan O’Connor), is an Army Veteran, who many years after his discharge from the Army was diagnosed with Epilepsy. While it has never been determined the cause of ROC’s Epilepsy, he recognizes that over 100,000 service members have returned home with battle induced seizure disorders and over 3 million Americans have Epilepsy. ROC also recognizes that Epilepsy awareness and research is a severely underfunded area.
It is for these reasons, that ROC will be walking from Reiter Park in Longwood, Florida, to Fenton, Missouri. Why Fenton, Missouri? It is the headquarters of ROC’s favorite supplements, 1st Phorm. This Journey of 1000 miles will start October 1, 2022, and will be completed in 25 days or less, which will require about 40-45 miles a day of walking.
ROC is currently seeking monetary and in-kind donations to provide:
- An RV to for nightly sleep and aid
- Someone to drive the RV
- Gasoline for the RV
- Hotel or lodging along the way
- Medical support (for feet, Epilepsy, and general medical needs)
- Walking company (for a couple miles at a time along the route)
- Athletic clothing and shoes
- Prepared meals (in accordance to his meal plan)
- Media coverage
If you are able to provide in kind donations in any of these areas, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, call us at (407) 205-2775, or click here. You can also or alternatively help by making a monetary donation to ROC Stop Seizures.
